Prof. Rob McCusker

Professor Rob McCusker is a consultant in transnational crime, advising governments and international organisations on any crime that crosses a border. With over 25 years of experience, Rob has worked with entities like the United Nations, USAID, and the FBI, covering jurisdictions such as Europe, the USA, Southeast Asia, and West Africa. He serves as an expert for Interpol on innovation and foresight, and on anti-money laundering, combating organized crime, and terrorism funding for the Economic Crime and Cooperation Division of the Council of Europe. Additionally, he is a member of the Advisory Board for the Global Terrorism Trends and Analysis Centre and a Senior Partner in Compliance for Strategic Swiss Partners AG in Zurich. Rob’s anti-corruption experience includes reviewing anti-corruption strategies for the Australian Attorney-General’s Department, consulting for Transparency International in Malaysia on timber trade corruption, conducting a comparative analysis of bribery legislation in Ukraine, Kenya, and Indonesia, and presenting his findings to the jurisdictions’ respective Parliaments, and evaluating, for the United Nations Development Programme, the UN Convention against Corruption's implementation. Rob has also provided strategic advice to various jurisdictions, ranging from Cameroon, Jamaica and Somalia to Denmark, Afghanistan and Singapore, on enhancing anti-corruption, and implementing governance, measures.

 

 

 Prof. Dr. Christian Hauser 

Christian Hauser is Professor of Business Economics and International Management at the Swiss Institute for Entrepreneurship (SIFE) at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden. He studied Latin American Studies at the Universities of Cologne/Germany, Lisbon/Portugal, and Fortaleza/Brazil. In 2006, he earned his Doctorate in Economics on foreign trade promotion schemes at the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Social Studies at the University of Cologne. During his doctoral study, he worked at the Centre for the Portuguese-speaking World at the University of Cologne. In 2006, he joined the Institute for SME Research (IfM) Bonn as a postdoctoral research associate. Since July 2007, he has been working at the SIFE on topics including international entrepreneurship, SME and private sector development, corporate responsibility and business integrity. Dr Hauser chairs the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Working Group on Anti-Corruption and heads the first PRME Business Integrity Action Centre in Europe. PRME is sister initiative of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).

 

 

 

Associate Professor Dr. Neale O'Connor

Dr. Neale O'Connor is an Associate Professor in forensic accounting and sustainability, currently attached to La Trobe University, Australia. He is known for his extensive research on the modernization of Chinese firms, focusing on performance measurement, management, and incentives. With over 20 years of experience in Hong Kong, Dr. O'Connor has explored intra-firm and inter-firm dynamics, trust, and operational risks in Asia, particularly in the manufacturing and procurement sectors. His 'China 1000' project is the largest survey on operational risk for foreign buyers and Chinese suppliers.

Dr. O'Connor is a sought-after speaker and has conducted executive programs for international and mainland China managers. He has also performed factory quality audits and provided strategic advice to multinational clients through his company, Ricebox.com. His recent work includes a major report, Unchained Global Sourcing (2023), and an upcoming study on Scope 3 measurement for listed companies in Asia.

With over USD 350,000 in grants, Dr. O'Connor has authored business cases used by universities worldwide. He has published in top journals such as Accounting, Organizations and Society, and Journal of Business Research, and authored two books on operational risk and management control in China. He also serves on editorial boards for several management accounting journals.
